Ha ha! For one, open source rules. I use Linux and Firefox on my Macs. I need uptime, and Open Source software provides that. Microsoft does not.
As for Vista, I've seen screenshots. Geez, plagarism big time! Now I could see Microsoft trying to claim they invented all that crap they stole from Apple and Unix. Geez, Unix has had transparency since at least '98. Only now does Vista have it, and it's '07.
ZS, thanks to you, Z is now running both Linux and WindowsXP on his computer. He's happy to see you back, as I think he has some questions for you. I told him to email you a while back, but you know how kids are.
Well, i'm sort of running linux. My x-server is screwy, so I have to edit my xorg.conf file.
And, open-source is versatile. People are free to add plug-ins, or even features! But Microsoft leaves holes in their systems and discourages people from fixing them. The only reason I have it is because I have to have my games! I hope the gamersforlinux petition will help all this along.

Z - Yeah, configuring Linux is a pain. The thing is, once you got it down, it's bulletproof. I've had uptimes of almost a year (always brought down by power outages and storms).
As for games, if I ever get Quake 4 going, it will be on Linux. John Carmack (the lead programmer for ID Software) is a huge Linux nut. It's a shame Loki went out of business because some of their games were awesome.
Oh, forgot to tell you. I actually had two things I did make the Linux Mandrake 7.0 disk. That was a long time ago though, probably '00.
